Most Greece itineraries never leave the islands. Ours did — and it turned into one of the most memorable days we've ever spent traveling. Ancient citadels, an empty archaeological site we practically had to ourselves, a stadium tunnel walked by athletes two thousand years ago, and a case of wine shipped home. This is mainland Greece.
